Department of Marathi was established in 1989 with the main thrust on catering to the needs and demands of the female students coming from lower middle class and rural area.Marathi is an official and co-official Language in Maharashtra. It has very rich and old heritage. Marathi is taught from UG to PG level by considering job opportunity and inculcating Marathi culture among the students and to develop holistic culture for national development.
